[ Knowledge is power, and right now he's sorely lacking. While the library does help him catch up in some regards, having an ear to the ground elsewhere is a different, equally valuable resource, and he only has so many agents to act through.

[ Who she consorts with is so beyond his care on a personal level—she can 'befriend' whoever she pleased, if that were even truly possible for a beast.

It does mean she leverages a valuable position, though. The Singularity and the others were free variables, and as much as he'd rather not deal with the consequences of their existence, it was best to know what he was up against. ]

[ She's aware of her precarious position between the fallen and the Singularity, and while her loyalties were once unshakeable, they aren't so absolute now.

If I may ask then, I've noticed that children of men have a certain captivation with breasts. Is there a reason for this?

Unfortunately, I feel like I may not give the most satisfactory answer. I can't claim to understand it fully myself.

But... I suppose part of it is that they're associated with femininity. Men don't have breasts, and given that they're uniquely a feminine trait, they tend to be come a focus of admiration for people who are attracted to women.

I believe it's also because they signify a woman has good health, and is well-suited for bearing children.

I've never given it much thought, truthfully.

I pledged my life to serving Feendrache, wherever that may take me. My duty to my kingdom takes precedence above all else.

Children deserve better than that.

[ What were his mother and father like...? She doesn't have a sense of familial ties, artificial creation that she is, but she's observed enough skydweller interactions to recognize that parental units are significant in their societal structure. ]
