I've not seen such domesticated creatures before. Are they difficult to keep?

Sometime's he's an owl, or a bird, and when we were out at sea he had to be an octopus which was pretty cool??

Ummm not really, 'cause I'm really good at taking care of them! They're very well trained and stuff, too. [ This is a lie Jester is mediocre at best and her pets are saints. ]

I think you'd like a cat!! Or maybe even a rabbit, though you can't really take rabbits with you because they're like, really nervous. If you want a really cool pet you can get a snake. Or a lizard!! My friend had an owl once but he was super grumpy all the time so I'd avoid those, maybe.

Well friends are supposed to like, make each other happy and stuff.

So if you pet a soft thing you're happy, and your pet is happy 'cause you're petting them and it feels nice! It's pretty great.
